    PLAN REVIEWS Home In accordance with Section 104.7.2 of the International Fire Code, South Davis Metro will require a “technical opinion and report” (peer review) of all plans for the installation and/or modification of an automatic fire protection system, installation and/or modification of fire alarm and detection systems and related equipment, fire pumps and related fuel tanks, jockey pumps, controllers and related equipment, installation, modification, or removal from service of a standpipe system. Click here for more information. SITE PLAN REVIEWS - reviews are $100 and need to be paid prior to the review. If the review takes longer than one hour, you will be notified what the additional fee is. The additional fee will be required before the plans are released. DEFERRED SUBMITTALS - will require a plan review fee of $100 if there are less than 10 devices. If there are more than 10 devices, the plans will need to be reviewed by a qualified 3rd party reviewer (Click here for 3rd party review info.) and will not require a plan review fee. All projects will require an installation permit. Fire Sprinkler permits are $300 and include 3 inspections Fire Alarm permits are $200 and include 2 inspections. Please refer to the SDMF Permit Fee Schedule for more information. Step 1 – Submit Online Application & Pay Fees: Please fill out online form below and pay fees.     Fire pits are allowed in the South Davis Metro Service Area, and must be constantly attended with an extinguishing source immediately available, such as a portable fire extinguisher, dirt, sand, water barrel, or garden hose. The following are guidelines to follow: There must be a minimum distance of 25 feet from any structure The pile size must be 3 feet or less in diameter and 2 feet or less in height The pits can only be used for recreational use only Burning of waste material/garbage is prohibited.
