PLAN REVIEWS
In accordance with Section 104.7.2 of the International Fire Code, South Davis Metro will require a “technical opinion and report” (peer review) of all plans for the installation and/or modification of an automatic fire protection system, installation and/or modification of fire alarm and detection systems and related equipment, fire pumps and related fuel tanks, jockey pumps, controllers and related equipment, installation, modification, or removal from service of a standpipe system. SITE PLAN REVIEWS - $100 - (review only) If the review takes longer than one hour, you will be notified what the additional fee is.

SUPPRESSION REVIEWS - $300 (review /2 inspections) - will require a plan review fee of $100 if there are less than 10 devices.

DEFERRED SUBMITTALS - If there are more than 10 devices, the plans will need to be reviewed by a qualified 3rd party reviewer (Click here for 3rd party review info.) and will not require a plan review fee.

Plan Review & Project Clearance Letter
The Fire Marshal will conduct the review(s) and issue a project clearance letter or an operational permit to the email provided.
(Conditional permits will NOT be issued.)
