LO QUE NECESITAMOS SABER

Over the past decade, the U.S. has witnessed a steady increase in wildfire activity.  Experts predict this trend will continue.  Despite the $2 to $3 billion per year to support wildland fire suppression efforts, the number of homes lost in wildfires per year has increased by 163% and wildfires now cost the U.S. an destimated $63 to $285 billion per year in losses.

Utah and Davis County are not immune to these trends!  To stem the trends in wildfire-caused human and property losses, significant changes in how we view wildfire must happen.  The changes must be rooted in two realities:

-Wildfire are going to happen

-The fire service will not be able to exinguish all of these fires quickly enough to save every property in the fire's path
